Clip can be installed a bit low and can touch the tail cap when opening.
2-3mm of the cap opening is enough to prevent light on.

Wanted a good light for gemstone ID. This fits the bill quite nicely, especially like being able to increase and decrease intensity. Does get a bit hot when using for a while but can live with that.

I’ve owned a D25LC2 for over a decade. As a Paramedic, its small size makes it light and easy to carry, but in a dark basement or ditch, it lights up everything. I was recently looking for a flashlight for my truck and house and rediscovered Eagle Tac, and to my surprise could still buy the D25LC2, So I did! Then I bought another model for my house. It’s slightly larger and from my front door I can light up the other side of my 5.5 acre property. Love the accessories, and quality of these flashlight's. I don’t think I would ever buy a different brand!

I have used this light for a couple weeks now and really like it. The smaller tip is good for focusing light on smaller gemstones. The variable light intensity is by far the most useful aspect of this light. Very handy. The light is very well built and with high grade materials. I bought the rechargeable battery for it but I don't know if normal AA batteries would work (nowhere is that info on the package it came in). The light is definitely pricey but if you want a seriously good gemstone light then I suppose it is money well spent. My only criticism is that the body of the light is very smooth and slippery. A textured tube would be better for holding the light and stone in one hand for loupe examination. Overall I highly recommend this light .
Awesome flashlight! Now with extra runtime with the upgraded battery from J2. Really good communication as well from John as I had questions regarding Nitecore products. I highly recommend purchasing from J2 LED... A+++ experience...
A great tiny light: bright, multi-beams, red, red blinking and NYPD blue. All with a clip for your collar or lapel. Fenix has discontinued it, hopefully to bring it back ni a new form, maybe brighter still ...
