Q1. What kind of LEDs are used in HL45R ? Does Fenix offer to replace LED?

A: The HL45R uses one Luminus SFT25R cold white LED （color temperature 6000-6500K）and one OSRAM GR QSSPA1.23 red LED. Fenix does not provide LED replacement services for the time being, and users are not recommended to replace the LEDs independently, which may affect product performance and cause product damage.

Q2. What is the working voltage of HL45R?

A: Operating voltage is 3.0V-4.2V, limit operating voltage range: 2.8V-4.5V.

Q3.How does HL45R work exactly?

A: Rotary switch and electronic switch combination for lockout function, mode switching, and output selection. Rotatable focus ring for switching between spotlight and floodlight.

Q4. Is HL45R rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: HL45R is rechargeable with a USB Type-C charging port. The power indicator will illuminate in an incremental cycle from left to right while the taillight is charging, and the battery takes about 3 hours to fully charge.

Q5. Can HL45R be used in severe weather such as rain and sandstorm?

A: HL45R features IP66 rated protection: fully protected against dust and foreign objects, can withstand heavy rain and splashes.

Q6. Why does the HL45R happen to flicker?

A: The reasons that may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:

A: Poor battery level.

Solution: replace the battery or charge it.

If the above methods don't work, please contact the distributor.

Q7.HL45R will automatically reduce the brightness after using it for a while, and it can't light up higher gears, why is that?

A:When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the headlamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached. When this happens in Low output, one of the battery level indicators blinks to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.

Q8.Does the HL45R have a memory mode?

A:The lamp automatically memorizes the last selected output of each mode when users press and hold the electronic switch to turn on/off the lamp. When turned on again, the previously used output of the selected mode will be recalled.

Q9.How do I turn on the gesture sensing function?

With the lamp turned on and the gesture-sensing function enabled, wave your hand within the sensing range in front of the lamp to temporarily turn off the lamp, and wave your hand again to turn on the lamp and recall the last selected output.

With the lamp turned on and the gesture-sensing function disabled, it will not respond to any motion operation.

*When the lamp is turned on and the gesture-sensing function is enabled, press and hold the electronic switch for 0.5 seconds to turn off the lamp. After this action, it will not respond to any motion operation.

Note:

1. The sensing range is within about 3.94in/10cm in front of the lamp, and may vary slightly depending on the material and color of the sensing object, the ambient light, the brightness of the selected output, and the waving speed.

2. The gesture-sensing function is infrared sensing. If any other objects besides your hand pass in front of the lamp within the sensing range, the lamp will also be turned on or off.

3. The gesture-sensing function can only turn the light on and off within the current lighting mode, and can neither change the mode nor the output.

4. When the gesture-sensing function is enabled, waving a hand will only turn off the lamp temporarily. At this time, the lamp is in a standby state, and power will still be consumed as the lamp actively awaits commands. If the lamp will not be used for an extended period turn the rotary switch to “OFF” to save battery power.

Q10. What should I do when the HL45R needs repair?

A: 1. 15-day replacement: Fenix will replace identical or equal products with documented manufacturing defects within 15 days of purchase.

2. 5-year free repair: Fenix will repair a light free of charge within 5 years (non-detachable light: 2 years, rechargeable battery and other accessories: 1 year) of purchase if problems develop with normal use.

3. Lifetime maintenance: If repair is required after 5 years from the date of purchase, Fenix will charge for parts. The total repair fee is dictated by the cost of the replaced materials.

4. Warranty certificate: Please keep the warranty card in contacting the authorized distributors for after-sale maintenance, Fenix will provide service support to the distributors.
