Overview

Using a Cree XP-G Neutral-White LED (R4) that can burn for 50,000 hours, the LD40 is a powerful LED flashlight that can push 248 lumens and keep up that brightness for 3 hours and 13 minutes. Since it is neutral white colour rendition is much better compared to cool white. It runs on 4 AA batteries which is great because you can find these just about anywhere. It is a lightweight flashlight because of its plastic body and it is easy to hold with its ergonomic design. The dual tail switch also makes it easier to operate compared to single button models.

 

Neutral White LED

Cree Neutral White LED features improved penetration power and color rendering with a color temperature of about 4000k, which makes objects look full of detail and definition. With a low color temperature and long wavelength, the Neutral White LED works better than cool white LED in penetrating dust, rainwater, mirage etc. Also, it achieves greater illumination distance. Another advantage is that the Neutral White LED improves the colour rendition of outdoor landforms. Neutral White LED still belongs to white light, thus, there will be no change for the original color of the objects.
